Have you ever been praying and realized you have some bitterness in you. Bitterness toward someone who hurt you years ago, weeks ago, or even 5 minutes ago. Prayer is not just about seeking forgiveness for yourself. It is also about seeking help to forgive others. If you are struggling to forgive someone pray about it. Let God help you process your pain and hurt.

Look up John 6:14-15 and Colossians 3:12-13

What do you notice from these verses?

Forgiveness is vital to being a follower of Jesus. Jesus on the cross muttered the word, “forgive them Father, they know not what they do.” Jesus said this about those that tortured him and put him to death. If we are to be like Jesus, we must learn to forgive those that hurt us. In prayer, we need to pray for those who have built up some debt against us. When can learn to forgive others quickly, we are learning the ways of Jesus.
