Local Outreach

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14

Jesus compares us to a city set on a hill—a community that stands out. As a church, we work together to bring God’s healing and transformation into the world. But God’s followers are not limited to Creekside Church, so we band together with other communities of believers who are working to bring hope to our community through the power of the Gospel.

  • The Gathering Inn

The Gathering Inn is an outreach to the homeless in south Placer County that offers hope and dignity through basic services and fellowship. Creekside is part of a network of churches that take turns providing a meal, friendly conversation, and a place to sleep every night of the year.

    Serve

Join us at the church the first Tuesday of every month from 4:30–8:30pm to help set up, cook, serve food, clean up, and share the love of Christ with our guests!

    Donate

We are also asking for donations of food items that will help us provide better meals to our guests as well. For information on what we need, contact Regina Perry.

  • hope church, oak park

We partner with Hope Church, a church plant in Oak Park. As they connect with their community and gain momentum, there are a number of ways that Creeksiders can help—through financial support, prayer, and service.

The Vision - To Be with God, Live as Family and Love like Jesus

The Dream of Hope: What if God was not just talked about in Sacramento, but undeniably seen in people's lives? What if God made a diverse group of people a family whose unifying mark was love? What if God radically loved broken people by making them a beautiful part of His story? We believe He is doing it and it will be better than anything we can imagine!

Global Missions

Our neighbors aren’t just in Roseville and Rocklin, they are the poor, hurting and lost throughout the world.

“’Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?’ He said, ‘The one who showed him mercy.’

And Jesus said to him, ‘You go, and do likewise.’” – Luke 10:36-37

God’s plan of redemption isn’t limited to our community. God plans to reach every nation with the Gospel, and we can expect that His plan for us will lead us places we didn’t expect to go, sometimes around the world.

The Cosgrove family is now living in Mexico, where they are serving alongside Mexican pastors and church leaders through Yugo Ministries. They are equipping and empowering pastors and missionary staff to reach the local people. We would like to invite you to partner with their ministry in prayer and through financial support.

    Please be in prayer:

    • for the Cosgrove family as they continue to settle into Mexico.
    • for their ministry to the local pastors and missionary staff of Yugo Ministries.
    • for possibly supporting the ministry financially.

  • House of Mercy (Mexico)

Pastor Francisco and his church, Campo Amor, have been serving the desperate relatives of hospitalized patients in Ensenada, Mexico with prayer and warm meals for the past 4 years.  In 2014, thanks to the opening of the House of Mercy, they are now able to provide meals, beds, showers, and laundered clothes to those most in need.  They have already run into many nights where there have been more family members than available beds. Praise God that this past summer, Creekside returned to Mexico to help the House of Mercy with construction of a second dormitory!

  • Girls' school (Bangladesh)

Education is a blessing that we take for granted. In Bangladesh, schooling is available only to a privileged few, and even then, society dictates that it is reserved for boys. We are working to support a girls’ school where young ladies can improve their education - we hope to secure a more stable future for the little ones God has placed there. We pray that the spiritual health of the girls will grow in tandem with their physical and intellectual health.

  • Children's Home (Bangladesh)

If you have never traveled outside the US, it's difficult to even imagine the poverty and desperation on the scale that exists in Dhaka, the capitol city of Bangladesh. Abject poverty, illness, crime, and despair are abundant and suffocating. This is the environment from which many of the children in our Children’s Home have been rescued. Make no mistake, this is not an orphanage - it is a home. The children live in security, cared for by house parents who love them, sheltered and protected from danger throughout their childhood. While living at the children’s home, the kids are not only cared for, they are educated, encouraged, and given a future. Most importantly, they are shown the love of Christ. Their situation is a beautiful picture of what Christ wants to do for us spiritually. These children, like all souls, need to be rescued from the pit of eternal death as much as they need to be rescued from the pit of earthly despair. Our support of the Children’s Home provides the simple necessities to care for the little ones God loves, now and in eternity.

“And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’”

Romans 10:15

The question is not whether or not we are called to spread the Gospel, but how. We all have a part to play in expanding God's Kingdom. Following God’s call will take some away from their homes, providing opportunities for others to support their ministry both financially and prayerfully.

  • clint & Haley Shamblin (Portland, oR)

Clint and Haley Shamblin have recently been called to plant a church in Portland, OR, where Christ and the church have long been marginal. They have moved into a neighborhood comprised mostly of those who do not yet know Jesus. There, they are cultivating a missional community through personal outreach to their neighbors, with the intent of sharing the Gospel through communion, baby dedications, baptisms and other elements that would be present in a traditional church setting.

  • Bangladesh

Poverty, drugs, prostitution, and child abuse run rampant in Bangladesh, and the hurting are many. Due to security concerns, we can't share specific information about our missionary or their work online.
