Family Camp

Thursday - Sunday, July 27 - 30

Coloma Resort

Play and worship in the great outdoors! Camp or stay in a cabin by the American River in Coloma. Tube down the river, or just relax with your church family. We make breakfast every day and dinner Friday and Saturday nights so you don't have to cook.

The Coloma Resort has river access, a pool, playground, flush toilets and hot showers. We rent the Town Hall Meeting Room for meals, and the cabins and campsites around a grassy common area.

RESORT INFO AND RULES

Quiet Hours - are 10 pm to 8 am. No noise should travel beyond the limits of your own site.

Showers - no quarters needed

Visitors are not allowed except by pre-arrangement and pre-payment. Visitor hours are from 10am to 9pm.

Generators are not allowed.

No golf carts, motorized scooters, go karts, dirt bikes, ATVs or other motorized toys are allowed.

WATER SAFETY

The rangers and staff I talk to discourage tubing because the river is deeper, faster and much colder than last summer. There may be a place where we can do some wading in the afternoon but be sure to have kids in life jackets. (The nearby Henningsen Lotus Park does have a beach that is safe for swimming.)

GLAMPING FOOD

Don't want to deal with lunch or Thursday's dinner?

  • ArgonautFarm to Fork Cafe - walk right across the bridge (closes at 4)
  • Sutter Center Market - a 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive to groceries, fishing gear, bait and panning supplies
  • Squally’s-On the River - a 3-minute drive or 20-minute walk for pizza
