Why do you serve in youth ministry?
I think that this time of life is very important for kids to start making their faith their own. It is very easy to grow up in a Christian household and still not know why you believe what you believe. With all of the negative influences surrounding our kids I think it is important that they have a place to come and learn about God and be able to share that with others. Having a son in the Exchange I understand how difficult it can be sometimes to raise godly kids in a world that is so hostile to God and His truth.
What do you like about Creekside?
Where do I start? I love that each and every one of Ryan's sermons has challenged me in some area of my life. He does not preach "feel good"sermons and I like that. I love that my kids love Creekside and that they are serving on Sundays. I love that my husband is getting to know some great Christian men and is also serving (insert wife was nagging for awhile on this one). And lastly I love that I truly feel part of the body of Christ, a big family, the way God intended.
What are your hobbies?
Well hobbies are difficult to find time for with three boys...but I love sticking my nose in a book, coffee is a must (that is a hobby by the way), baking used to be a hobby until it turned into my business, I love getting my hands dirty in my garden, and I'm pretty excited about all things Crossfit.
What is your favorite place to eat in this area?
I can't pick just one, hmmm, Cheesecake Factory (because who doesn't love a 1,000 calorie piece of cheesecake!) Arigato Sushi, and for those nights when we need everyone in the family to agree, In n Out wins hands down :)
