THE BRIDGE LEADERSHIP

Why do you serve in youth ministry?

I serve in youth ministry at Creekside because I feel it is exactly where God wants me to be. I enjoy getting to know the kids on a level that is more than just a "high-five" at the beginning or end of church. I firmly believe that junior high-aged youth are at a pivotal point in their lives and are feeling the pressures of the world every direction they turn. The Exchange is place where kids are reminded of Christ's truths and is also a place where they can remain and grow in Him. As an Exchange leader, I encourage kids to be themselves and openly express their thoughts on anything the world sends their way. What a privilege it is to serve!

What do you like about Creekside?

Like or love? I love the fact that the Gospel is preached openly and consistently and the truths found in God's word is never skewed. I love the community/family atmosphere Creekside offers and the fellowship opportunities Creekside provides. I often wish there was more time between services!!

    What are your hobbies?

My family is number one. When we are not running between pre-scheduled events, I enjoy tinkering around the house, hunting, camping, and fishing; pretty much anything outdoors.

What is your favorite place to eat in this area?

My bride's kitchen creations are hard to top. If I am desperate for a meal, a quick trip to In-N-Out can usually do the trick.

Why do you serve in youth ministry?

Well, years ago I felt like I had an obligation to serve somewhere. So, I plugged in where my kids were and followed them up the line. Along the way, God really touched my heart as I saw the fruit of the ministry. Today I can say confidently that God has called me to build relationships with our kids so that I can more easily find opportunities to share the gospel with them.p

What do you like about Creekside?

I love the principles we have built our church on, loving God, loving others and proclaiming the gospel. What's better than that!? I also cherish the relationships I have built at Creekside. Some of my greatest joys have come alongside my brothers and sisters from Creekside as they have shared life with me.

    What are your hobbies?

I like to hit the trails on my dirt-bike and tinker around the house. Time spent with friends is always better than on my own.

What is your favorite place to eat in this area?

    Anywhere my friends are gathered!

Why do you serve in youth ministry?

I am blessed by Creekside’s youth ministry every time I pray with my son and hear scripture resonate in his conversations with God. I can’t think of a better way to support our Creekside families than to serve their children so that they may be blessed in the same way. Also, in my career in law enforcement it can be challenging seeing the consequences of others' bad life decisions on a regular basis. It is refreshing to work with youth, to encourage them to seek God to help them make good decisions so their lives may be richly blessed.

What do you like about Creekside?
I love the expository teaching of the word and call for life application at Creekside. Also, we tried for years unsuccessfully to get plugged in at our prior congregation. At Creekside we were brought into the fold immediately and our lives are now overflowing with meaningful fellowship. I love the accountability that comes with being involved in the lives of other Christian families.

    What are your hobbies?
I enjoy outdoor activities like camping and hiking with my friends and family. I also love Jiu-Jitsu and try to get on the mat a couple of times per week to train.

What is your favorite place to eat in this area?
My couch or back patio!!! I also frequent many good burger restaurants (The Habit, Smash Burger, The Tap Room and when I’m in a hurry . . In-n-Out). I am a sucker for medium-rare beef with bacon and cheese. Mmmmmmm!

    The Bridge Leader

Why do you serve in youth ministry?

I serve in the youth Ministry because I feel God tugged at my heart when the need for more leaders arose. I have always worked with children and it seems to be where God continually uses me most. I have two children of my own and being around children, teaching them about Jesus and His love for them truly brings joy to my heart.

What do you like about Creekside?

I love many things about Creekside, but to name a few, I love the truth of God's word that is spoken each week from our pastors. I love the friendships that have come from being apart of the church. I love the kid's ministry and how it has blessed and help bring up my own children unto godly principles and the exposure to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    What are your hobbies?

I like to be outdoors! Camping, swimming, boating are all at the top of my list!

What is your favorite place to eat in this area?

Honestly, going out to eat is great since that means I have a night off from cooking, but I really love having BBQ's with friends and family in the comfort of our own homes!

    What are your hobbies?

Guns, comic books and Star Wars.

What is your favorite place to eat in this area?

Chando's Tacos in Roseville. The al pastor is delicious!!
